Encounters and Wisdom
15 april 2026, I encountered Ammar-Campa campaigners on my college campus. This is my response:
- Dont vote out of fear of not splitting votes. Psychology is powerful, and we will never vote for the people we really want if we always fall prey to this arguement.
- Presently I prefer Abel Chavez over Amar-Campa. There are many reasons. If I swing my vote simply to avoid splitting hairs, it is equivalent to me, voting against myself in the future. My philosophy requires me to maintain my integrity, so if my vote is changed, that can only be for the reason that I believe one candidate is better than the other, and not their chances.
Because of prop50 i am district 50 now. These points are still relevant however. I am voting for Mitra.
If you would allow me to give you any advice, choose people who are against empowering corporations, those who support corporate power are the biggest threats to our representation
